What: Teaches students the basic concepts of computer coding through interactive activities and hands-on computer coding using an online block based system called Scratch. Students will learn how to structure commands, debug programs, and even build their own basic video games. No Experience Required!
Who: 4th-8th graders
When: Every Tuesday 4:30-5:30 pm February 6th - April 24th
Where: KPL Auditorium

Space is limited to 10 students. Must commit to all sessions.

What: Come learn the coding language Python! This course teaches students how to begin computer coding using a text-based computer programming language, Python. Python is one of the easier computer programming languages to learn and allows the programmer greater control over their computer programs than block based. The number of skills the class is able to learn will be based on the ability of the class to grasp concepts. There is a higher level of challenge and responsibility to this course. Students may be asked to complete tasks at home and therefore will need access to a computer where the necessary program can be downloaded. Some coding experience preferred.
Who: 4th-8th graders
When: Every Wednesday 4:00-5:15 pm February 7th - April 25th
Where: KPL Auditorium

Space is limited to 10 students. Must commit to all sessions.
